The Minnesota Vikings will once again be without star running back Adrian Peterson on Sunday, when they host the Denver Broncos. Winning will, once again, be up to rookie quarterback Christian Ponder, though he may even be without his best receiver, Percy Harvin. Minnesota is sitting at 2-9, firmly out of the picture in the NFC North division and not at all looking at a potential wildcard berth. It's all become about Ponder and his development heading into next season as, hopefully, the starter.
That doesn't mean they aren't looking to win every time they're out there. No, Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos need to bring their A-game to beat the Vikings, who at times have played much better than a team with nine losses just twelve weeks into the season. Tebow and the Broncos present an odd test, however, and it will be interesting to see how defensive end Jared Allen handles the option offense with Tebow at the helm.
