The Minnesota Vikings' offense, under the direction of Christian Ponder, looks like it might really be starting to come together against the Denver Broncos.
After forcing a Denver three-and-out, the Vikings increased their lead back to eight, thanks to a 53-yard touchdown pass from Ponder to Percy Harvin.
Broncos' defensive back Chris Harris attempted to bump Harvin at the line of scrimmage, but Harvin wasn't having any of that, as Harris wound up on his backside. Harvin took the short pass from Ponder and did the rest from there, going 53 yards to the end zone and giving the Vikings a 22-14 lead.
Ponder is having the best game of his NFL career thus far. He has completed 22 of 35 passes for 279 yards and the two touchdowns (along with one interception). Devin Aromashodu is also making his presence felt, having amassed six catches for 90 yards on the afternoon.
We have another scoring update to bring you, but after this play, the Vikings have a 22-14 lead over the Denver Broncos in Minneapolis.
