The Minnesota Swarm of the National Lacrosse League dropped to 3-2 on the season last night, as they lost on the road in upstate New York to the Buffalo Bandits by a score of 15-12. The win for the Bandits raised them to the same 3-2 record.
↵Forward Ryan Benesch again led the way for the Swarm with seven points (three goals, four assists), and in the third quarter, Sean Pollock pulled himself into a tie for the all-time record for points scored by a member of the Minnesota Swarm with 310.
↵With the victory, Buffalo has run its all-time record against the Swarm to 12-2. Ouch.
↵The loss for the Swarm drops them a half-game behind the Calgary Roughnecks (4-2) in the NLL's Western Division. The Roughnecks are off this week. Minnesota's next game will see them stay in New York to take on the Rochester Nighthawks, who defeated the Swarm at the XCel Energy Center in this year's season opener by a score of 11-10 in overtime.
