There hasn't been a whole lot of winning going on at the Target Center this season, but that will change today as four Minnesota High School Boys Basketball championships will be decided today, starting at noon Central time.
The action will kick off in Minneapolis with the Class A Championship Game between the Springfield Tigers and the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars. B-B-E is Minnesota High School Basketball's last undefeated team, currently sporting a 32-0 record, while Springfield has an overall record of 25-3 heading into this one. The tip-off for this one is scheduled for noon Central time.
From there, things will move on to the Class AA Title Game between the Perham Yellowjackets and the Rochester Lourdes Eagles. Perham enters this one with a record of 30-1, while Rochester Lourdes is currently sporting an overall mark of 24-7. This one is scheduled to get underway at 2:00 PM Central time, although the timing of the previous game could affect this one.
After a break of a couple of hours, the Class AAA Championship will be decided between the Columbia Heights Hylanders and the Orono Spartans. Columbia Heights enters this one with a record of 25-6, while Orono comes into the title tilt with a mark of 27-4. Opening tip for this one is set for 6:00 PM Central time.
The final game of the night will be the Class AAAA Championship game between the Hopkins Royals and the Eden Prairie Eagles. Hopkins has lost only one game this season, sitting with a 30-1 overall mark, while Eden Prairie has a record of 27-4 on the season. This one will get started at approximately 8:00 PM Central time.
