Jeff Gordon snapped a 66-race winless streak last week in Phoenix, and now the Sprint Cup tour moves to another desert locale to continue their 2011 season.
The Kobalt Tools 400 will take place today at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with the race scheduled to get underway at 2:14 PM Central time. Matt Kenseth finds himself on the pole for this race, with Marcus Ambrose right next to him in Row 1.
Kenseth is among the favorites to win this one this afternoon, and with good reason. . .the last nine times this race has been held, Kenseth has six top ten finishes, including winning it in both 2003 and 2004. He finished fifth in this race next year.
