The Minnesota Twins have gotten off to a bit of a rough start in the season's opening games, with their loss to the Oakland Athletics on Saturday night dropping them to 3-5 on the young season.
As you can see, the Twins currently occupy the cellar in the American League Central, but at least they have some company in the form of the Detroit Tigers. None of the teams in the AL Central have been egregiously bad thus far. After all, even though the Twins and Tigers each only have three wins to this point, that's still more victories than the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays. . .combined.
The Royals and the Indians are both a bit of a surprise thus far, and it will be interesting to see if they can maintain any sort of momentum throughout the long Major League Baseball season. On the other hand, it's not surprising at all to see the Chicago White Sox towards the top of the AL Central. . .after all, the White Sox generally don't raise the white flag until after the All-Star break.
