Vikings fans can breathe a little easier today.
↵Adrian Peterson had made it all the way to the semifinals in the voting for the cover athlete of EA Sports’ insanely popular video game, Madden 12. Fortunately for the believers of the Madden Curse, the nightmare of having AP grace the unlucky cover has come to an end.
↵Michael Vick beat Peterson in their head-to-head vote rather handily, receiving 59% of the vote. The other semifinal wasn’t even that close: Browns running back Peyton Hillis steamrolled Aaron Rodgers by a margin of 61% to 39%. That result was probably a little disappointing for Vikings fans hoping the Madden Curse might strike the Packers quarterback.
↵Voting for the finals between Hillis and Vick is available here. You can vote for the cover athlete through April 25.
