Wrestlemania XXVII Preview: Celtic Warrior Defends The U.S. Title Against Daniel Bryan

Sheamus had found himself in a pretty nasty slump that saw him winning very few matches since being crowned the most recent WWE King of the Ring. On March 14 on Raw, he declared that if he couldn't beat the United States champion, Daniel Bryan, on Monday Night Raw that he would quit the business entirely. Thanks to the Brogue kick, Sheamus did register a pinfall against Bryan and took home the U.S. Title.

The next week on Raw, the internet darling reminded the Celtic Warrior that America is, indeed, the land of opportunity, and invoked his rematch clause for a battle at Wrestlemania XXVII. Sheamus obviously has a huge size advantage in this one. . .he's a full eight inches taller and eighty pounds heavier than his opponent. . .but Bryan's arsenal of submission maneuvers and precision striking make him a formidable foe for an opponent of any size.

With that having been said, however, I don't see any real reason to think that Sheamus' push to stop at this match. He's back on a roll again after a couple of down months, and she really be allowed to keep his momentum going in this one.

Prediction: Sheamus is the only champion to retain his championship on this night, as he beats Bryan once again with the Brogue kick.
