Wrestlemania XXVII Preview: Cody Rhodes Looks To Dash Rey Mysterio's Hopes

On the January 21st episode of Smackdown, Rey Misterio broke the nose of "Dashing" Cody Rhodes when Mysterio's leg brace. . .which, mind you, had been exposed earlier in the match by Rhodes. . .hit Rhodes in the face. While this would be a devastating injury for any superstar, it's even more so for one that prides himself on his physical appearance the way Rhodes does.

Needless to say, Rhodes' demeanor had changed significantly when he returned to Smackdown a couple of weeks later. Gone was the brash, confident superstar that was brimming with bravado, and he had been replaced by an angry, brooding young man that was blaming the master of the 619 for his problems.

Rhodes has vowed his revenge at Wrestlemania, and if I were booking things, he would get the victory here. Mysterio is going to stay over with the fans whether he wins or not, but Rhodes could use a win to build his character. Sadly, I don't think that's the way things are going to happen.

Prediction: Even though he really doesn't need the win, Mysterio will probably get the best of Rhodes in this one.
