The Tennessee Titans have a 14-0 lead over the Minnesota Vikings at halftime of the first pre-season game at LP Field in Nashville.
Both Titans touchdowns came as a result of Minnesota turnovers. The first one came as a result of a Lorenzo Booker fumble. On the ensuing drive, Joe Webb threw an interception straight to Titans safety Jordan Babineaux that was returned into Minnesota territory. The Vikings appeared to have the Titans stopped on a third down play, but cornerback Marcus Sherels was called for pass interference on a ball that really wasn't catchable, setting the Titans up on Minnesota's doorstep.
On the next play, rookie running back Jamie Harper took it into the end zone from two yards out, and the Rob Bironas extra point gave the Titans a 14-0 lead.
The Vikings moved the ball a little bit on their last drive before halftime, but wound up punting it away, and the Titans took a knee.
Minnesota trails at halftime of their pre-season opener by a score of 14-0. We expect to see rookie Christian Ponder in at quarterback to begin the second half of play.
