The Minnesota Vikings got on the board on the first drive of the second half against the Tennessee Titans, thanks to the most reliable kicker in the National Football League.
The Vikings started their first drive of the second half at their own 22-yard line, and promptly started moving the ball downfield, thanks in large part to running back Lorenzo Booker, who once again looked impressive. The Vikings even managed to push their way into the Titans' red zone, but the drive stalled and Ryan Longwell hit one from 37 yards out to cut the Tennessee lead to 14-3.
Joe Webb started the second half at quarterback for the Vikings, but logic dictates that his evening is over with. We should be seeing Christian Ponder at quarterback for Minnesota going forward, with Rhett Bomar coming in to mop things up at the end.
The Vikings have just held the Titans to a three and out, so the Vikings will be getting the ball back with about eight minutes left in the third quarter of play. They currently trail 14-3 to the Tennessee Titans.
