MLB Standings: The Twins Are Staring At The Basement

So yeah, the Twins are only a game and a half ahead of Kansas City for last place in the American League Central. This seasn, which began with such promise, has gone into a death spiral of epic proportions.

Injuries, bad pitching, bad hitting, injuries, bad timing, trades of Delmon Young and Jim Thome, and did I mention injuries, have snowballed from almost the beginning of the season.

And the Twins, one of the pre-season favorites to win the division, have become, essentially, the Kansas City Royals. Or the Twins circa late 1990's, or early 1980's.
