After one half of play, the Vikings defense looked like world beaters. They were aggressive coming off the line, linebackers Chad Greenway and EJ Henderson were all over the field, and the secondary was playing very well, to include an interception by Antoine Winfield to kill a San Diego rally as the first half ended.
However, the Chargers made some nice adjustments, and using dump off passes to the running backs, the Chargers took the opening drive of the second half and went 69 yards in 7 plays, which was capped off by a 3 yard TD run by Mike Tolbert.
But the Vikings have got the ball back and have made a first down, to include a nice third down scramble by Donovan McNabb to get a first down. The VIkings are on their own 35, and with just over 8:00 remaining, Minnesota has a 17 to 14 lead over the Chargers.
