Timberwolves Vs. Pistons Score Update: Minnesota Trails 20-17 After 1st Quarter

The Minnesota Timberwolves are off to a rough start against the reeling Detroit Pistons, as they trail 20-17 after one quarter of play at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Looking for their second straight win following a 99-86 win over the Sacramento Kings on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Minnesota has struggled badly on the offensive end, making just 6-24 shots from the field.

The backcourt point guard duo of Ricky Rubio (0-4) and Luke Ridnour (0-2) has not made a shot, while Kevin Love leads the Timberwolves with 7 points and 6 rebounds.

Love has scored 30+ points in each of his last three games, and he has collected 10+ rebounds in ever single game. Not only that, but Love has been the leading rebounder, including both teams, in every single game so far this season. He also ranks sixth in SB Nation's most recent NBA MVP Power Rankings.
