The Minnesota Vikings travel to D.C. to take on the Washington Redskins on Sunday and most NFL experts believe the Vikings will improve to 5-1. Minnesota has won three straight games and would move into sole possession of first place in the NFC North with a win. The Vikings have topped the Redskins in D.C. in each of the last two seasons
Six of eight experts at CBS Sports picked the Vikings to top the Redskins and nine of 12 ESPN experts took Minnesota, but only one of the three Yahoo! Sports experts went with the Vikings. Overall, that makes 16 of 23 experts siding with Minnesota, or 69.6%.
The Redskins expect to have rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III back under center on Sunday after suffering a concussion during the third quarter of Washington's 24-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. RG3 practiced on Wednesday, but has yet to be cleared for contact. Adrian Peterson missed practice for the Vikings on Wednesday, but is expected to play against Washington. The final status of either of those stars would likely change the opinions of some experts.
