Gophers Hockey: Minnesota vs. Michigan State Saturday line combinations

Line combinations for the Saturday night University of Minnesota vs. Michigan State hockey game. Gophers coach Don Lucia made a few changes, including freshman Adam Wilcox getting his first start in goal.

Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

After Friday night's 5-1 win, Gopher head coach Don Lucia was happy with how his team played yet wanted to get a couple freshman some experience. He's doing just that as Ryan Reilly and Adam Wilcox (Tampa Bay Lightning) make the Minnesota debuts. Reilly starts as the fourth line center while WIlcox gets the nod in goal.

The Gophers are also going with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen. Justin Holl, who missed Friday night's game, is back in the lineup as the extra defenseman in place of Jake Parenteau (who played as a forward last night). Other players sitting out from last night are AJ Michaelson and winning goaltender Michael Shibrowski.

Michigan State, meanwhile, is mixing up their top-six right wings - Anthony Hayes and Greg Wolfe switch lines- in an effort to get more scoring. .
