Bjugstad honored by WCHA
For the second time in his collegiate career, Gopher forward Nick Bjugstad was honored by the WCHA as the Offensive Player of the Week. The junior scored two goals and added an assist in last weekend's sweep over Michigan State.

Gophers sweep Spartans in college hockey opener
Minnesota earned their first two-game sweep of the season defeating Michigan State 7-1 Saturday night. The Gophers scored 7 goals by 7 different players while freshman goalie Adam Wilcox made 10 saves for his first collegiate win.

Fast start fuels Minnesota past Michigan State 5-1
Three goals in the first 13:38 of Friday night's opener were enough as Minnesota defeated Michigan State 5-1. Nick Bjugstad scored a goal and an assist while goalie Michael Shibrowksi made 25 saves for his first win as a Gopher.
