The Boston College Eagles hold onto the top spot in the U.S. College Hockey Online rankings this week, while Minnesota was voted No. 1 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
Boston College received 37 first place votes in the USCHO rankings. No. 2 Minnesota received 12 votes and No. 3 Michigan received the only other first place vote. North Dakota and Cornell round out the top five.
Air Force and Colorado College dropped out of the rankings. They sat at No. 19 and No. 20, respectively, before falling out of the top 20. Air Force and Colorado College were replaced in the rankings by No. 18 Quinnipiac and No. 19 Merrimack.
The top ten remained the same from last week, however, the order was shuffled. Cornell, Massachusetts-Lowell, Denver, Miami (Ohio) and Western Michigan all moved up one spot as Union fell from No. 5 to No. 10.
The USA Today/USA Hockey magazine poll shows a slightly different result that the USCHO poll. Minnesota holds the top spot over Boston College. Minnesota received 14 first place votes to Boston College's four. Michigan finished third with three first place votes.
