The Indiana Fever have the Minnesota Lynx on the verge of elimination after a 76-59 win in the WNBA Finals Friday to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.
Indiana actually had a more commanding lead in the game than the lopsided score indicates. The Fever led 70-38 entering the fourth quarter after holding the Lynx to 11 points in back-to-back quarters in the second and third.
Shavonte Zellous led all scorers with 30 points. She was one of four Fever players in double figures. Tamika Catchings scored 17 points, Erin Phillips had 13 points and Erlana Larkins scored 10.
The Lynx shot just 35 percent for the game and turned the ball over 18 times. Rebekkah Brunson was the only player in double figures, scoring 12 points. After combining for 50 points in Wednesday's win in game two, Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore scored just 14 points on 6-for-17 shooting Friday.
Game four of the series is at 7 p.m. CT Sunday.
