The Minnesota Golden Gophers and Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs were both in action this weekend as a part of a full slate of college hockey action.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers hosted the Wisconsin Badgers for a two-game set this weekend, finishing with a 2-2 tie on Friday and a 3-1 victory on Saturday.

In Friday's game, the Gophers struck first as Zach Budish scored early in the first period, but Wisconsin quickly tied it less than 30 seconds later. Similar story in the second period as Erik Haula scored to put the Gophers ahead, 2-1, but shortly after Wisconsin tied it once again. That marked the end of the scoring, as the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

On Saturday, Wisconsin struck first, scoring 16 minutes into the first period, but Minnesota responded with three unanswered goals to take the game, 3-1. The Golden Gophers moved to 7-2-2 on the season following the weekend series.

The Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs traveled to face North Dakota and found themselves in two overtime affairs, eventually coming away with a tie and a loss to take their overall record to 2-6-2. The Bulldogs host St. Cloud State next weekend.
