The regular season is over for the Big Ten Conference with the Minnesota Golden Gophers finishing tied for last in the Legends Division. There is a silver lining to an otherwise rough conference season for the Golden Gophers though: they finished with six wins, making them bowl eligible. But one game they won't be playing in is the Big Ten Championship, which takes place this Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The No. 12 Nebraska Cornhuskers will face off against the Wisconsin Badgers even though the Badgers didn't finish first in the Leaders division. At 4-4 in conference play, both the Ohio St. Buckeyes and Penn St. Nittany Lions finished ahead of them, but are ineligible for postseason play because of NCAA penalties.
The Cornhuskers and Badgers have already met once this year when the Cornhuskers came from 10 points down at half time to beat the Badgers 30-27 in Lincoln.
