The No. 3 Minnesota Golden Gophers men's hockey team hosts No. 13 Nebraska-Omaha on Friday and Saturday in what should be one of the most exciting college hockey matchups of the weekend.
The Gophers (9-2-2) have won their last last three games and are 5-0-1 at home this season, which gives them a good chance to gain on No. 2 New Hampshire and No. 1 Boston College with a good showing against Nebraska-Omaha.
In other local action, Bemidji State takes on Minneosta State, Minnesota-Duluth meets Michigan Tech and No. 14 St. Cloud State faces off against Alaska-Anchorage. The St. Cloud State Huskies are just 2-4-0 on the road in 2012, so they will need to step it up to keep their top-25 ranking.
