Wild and Wolves Winning on Same Day? Not Very Often

The Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Timberwolves both won on Sunday. Since both teams play 82 game schedules (when there aren’t strikes or lockouts) during roughly the same time of year, you wouldn’t think this was such an uncommon occurrence.

But then again, most winter sports teams aren’t the Wild and Timberwolves.

According to Star Tribune’s Michael Rand, Sunday was the first time both of Minnesota’s winter squads won on the same day since November 17, 2010.

Between that date and yesterday, there were thirty-one occurrences where both teams played on the same day, yet failed to pull off the double victory.

We’ll end that Minnesotan nugget of information with a Minnesotan word: oofda.
