NCAA Wrestling Championships 2012: Zach Sanders Takes Third To Become 4-Time All-American

The 2012 NCAA Wrestling Championships continued on Saturday morning with the consolation bracket finishing up prior to Saturday night's championship matches. The morning session didn't feature the best results for the Minnesota Golden Gophers considering Penn State clinched the team championship, but the Gophers performed admirably anyway.

Zach Sanders finished with a victory in his final match for the Gophers, defeating Cornell's Frank Perrelli in overtime to clinch a 6-4 victory and third place in the 125-pound division. It was an impressive finish for Sanders as he finished his college career as a four-time All-American for Minnesota.

Chris Dardanes also did well in the 133-pound weight class, though he was pinned by Iowa's Tony Ramos in the third place match to end his season. Kevin Steinhaus won the fifth place match in the 184 pound divsion, Logan Storley notched a sixth place in the 174 pound bracket and Sonny Yohn finished his senior season with a fifth place victory -- the best finish of his career.
