NLL Lacrosse: Minnesota Swarm Captain Andrew Suitor Named Transition Player of the Week

Today, the National Lacrosse League announced their weekly player awards, and continuing with the new tradition, Swarm Captain Andrew Suitor was named Transition Player of the Week. This is the second such award for Suitor this season. Turns out, he remains a pretty good lacrosse player.

Suitor’s two goals and six loose balls helped lead the Swarm over the Calgary Roughnecks and move the team into second place. The Swarm were questioned when they traded their now former captain Ryan Cousins and named Suitor his replacement. As has been the case with nearly every move made by the team this season, it seems to have turned out for the best.

Suitor and rookies Tyler Carlson and Evan Kirk have all won weekly awards this season. Kirk landed the Rookie of the Month award last week as well. If anyone is still surprised by the fact the Swarm are where they are… you need to pay a little closer attention.
