I guess the Big Show isn't too big for the WWE Intercontinental Title after all.
In a show that it would appear is moving way, way too rapidly, our third match of the night is in the books, as The Big Show won the Intercontential Title by pinning Cody Rhodes. Rhodes hit the Beautiful Disaster kick, and decided that he would go for a second one. Before he could hit it, however, The Big Show flattened him with a massive spear, and then hit the Knockout Punch to win the title in a little more than five minutes.
The match was about what you would expect for a five-minute affair, but for the life of me, I can't understand what WWE is doing with the pacing of the card here. Wrestlemania is a four-hour show, and after three matches going down in the first hour, there are only five matches remaining to fill three more hours of air time And one of those is a Divas match, which would wouldn't expect to last a terribly long time.
Maybe WWE has plenty of swerves planned for later on in the evening. At the rate this show has been going, I certainly hope they do.
