Preakness Results 2012: I'll Have Another Comes Through, Keeps Triple Crown Hopes Alive

That's it for the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes, as I'll Have Another came from behind once again to take the second leg of the Triple Crown in exciting fashion. Who was the casualty at the end of the race? Why, it was Bodemeister, of course. I'll Have Another trailed in the final stretch, with Pretension and Creative Cause joining the two as the four that separated from the rest of the pack.

But the final 100 yards saw I'll Have Another break hard and pull off the amazing win in the final seconds. It was eerily similar to the Kentucky Derby, when I'll Have Another came on strong in the final seconds to best Bodemeister, the favorite.

Coming into the Preakness Stakes, Bodemeister was the favorite at 1-1, but I'll Have another wasn't far behind at 3-1. Now, all eyes will be on The Belmont as I'll Have Another tries to secure the Triple Crown, a rare feat indeed.
