The 138th Kentucky Derby is set to go off on Saturday evening with a strong field of 20 horses expected to run for the rose from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Saturday morning favorite is Union Rags at 9:2 odds to win, taking over that role from Bodemeister, now listed as a 7:1 favorite after spending time as a 4:1 favorite for much of the week. Groundskeepers are hard at work getting the track in shape after overnight rain blew through the Louisville area, while keeping an eye on the radar and potential storms forecast for later in the day.
