Lynx Vs. Sun: Minnesota Faces Connecticut In Battle Of Unbeaten Teams

The Minnesota Lynx will face the Connecticut Sun on Friday in a battle of undefeated teams.

Presswire

Two of the best teams in the WNBA so far this season will play on Friday for the right to stay undefeated. The Minnesota Lynx, already the defending champions, have started the season with a 5-0 record, one win away from the best start in the history of the franchise.

However, they're facing a tough opponent in the Connecticut Sun, who are off to a solid 3-0 start and are also looking for a win to give them a franchise best start. Former No. 1 pick Tina Charles has led the Sun this season and recently became the fastest player in WNBA history to get 800 rebounds. Minnesota is being led as usual by Seimone Augustus in their solid start to the season.

The Lynx have won 21 of their last 23 games dating back to last season's playoff run and eventual WNBA championship. Other than Minnesota and Connecticut, Indiana is the only other undefeated team in the league right now.
