The 2012 Wimbledon Championships will get underway on Monday in London, as 2011 champion Novak Djokovic will try to defend his title on grass against a bevy of top contenders.
On the women's side, returning champ Petra Kvitova will begin the tournament as the No. 4 seed in search of her 2nd career major, while Maria Sharapova garnered the No. 1 overall women's seed after reigning supreme at the French Open last month. Sharapova will open her quest for another piece of hardware with Australia's Anastasia Rodionova in the 1st round
Live coverage of the tournament can be seen at Wimbledon.com, and will begin bright and early Monday morning at 4:00 a.m. ET. In addition to offering live action from key matches around grounds, the announcing tandem of Mats Wilander and Annabel Croft will provide coverage and analysis on the day's events.
