Lynx Vs. Mercury: Minnesota Look To Continue Strong Start To Season

The Minnesota Lynx (12-1) look to keep the fast start to the season going when they face the Phoenix Mercury (3-8) on Wednesday.

Presswire

It looks like that loss to Seattle really was just a blip on the radar -- the Minnesota Lynx have already gone back to their winning ways with two straight blowout victories since their only loss on the season. At 12-1, they have a good chance to keep the strong start rolling when they face the struggling Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday.

The 3-8 Mercury have not only struggled to get wins this season but have struggled to get any from the Lynx recently as well. Both games of their post-season series in the Conference Finals went to Minnesota last season helping lead to five straight losses against the Lynx.

Phoenix could also be without two of its top scorers with both Diana Taurasi and Candice Dupree both doubtful to appear in the game. If the Lynx fire on all cylinders -- as they have so many times this season minus the blip that was the Seattle loss -- the Mercury will probably be missing them.
