Wimbledon 2012: Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer Advance On Wednesday

Andy Roddick was finally able to complete his first round match against Jamie Baker on Wednesday when he defeated his opponent, 7-6 (8), 6-4, 7-5 after their match was postponed due to fading light. Roddick is now the second-highest American remaining in the tournament, next to No. 12 Mardy Fish.

No. 1 seeded Novak Djokovic also advanced on Wednesday when he defeated Ryan Harrison in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. While it may appear like Djokovic had little trouble with Harrison, the American gave the top seed quite a fight.

Roger Federer had a far easier time punching his ticket to the next round when he defeated opponent Fabio Fognini in three dominating sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-2. Federer will now advance to the third round without having faced a significant challenge thus far in the tournament.
