Perfection, Thy Name Is Lynx: Minnesota Beats San Antonio 83-79

1Seven up, seven down.

The Minnesota Lynx were the only team in the WNBA with a perfect record coming into Sunday, and that perfection was maintained as they beat the San Antonio Silver Stars 83-79 at home despite being outscored 26-16 in the final quarter. The Lynx became the sixth team in WNBA history to begin a season with seven straight wins.

Maya Moore and Rebekkah Brunson each had 7 points while Minnesota native Lindsey Whalen had 15 points and seven assists. Seimone Augustus also had 14.

Brunson hit on a pair of free throws with a second left to give the Lynx some breathing room and secure the win after a stellar fourth quarter by San Antonio.

Danielle Adams had 21 points for San Antonio as they fell short in their furious comeback.
