Wimbledon 2012: Maria Sharapova Upset In Round 4

Coming off her first win at the French Open, newly crowned Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova appeared to be on a roll entering the 2012 Wimbledon Tournament. Defeating virtually every opponent she faced at the French Open in dominating fashion, the world's No. 1 ranked tennis player looked to be a force at the All England Club this year.

However, all that momentum ended up meaning little when she was upset by Germany's Sabine Lisicki, allowing the latter to advance to the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-3 victory in straight sets.

Lisicki, the No. 15 seed in the draw, will face Angelique Kerber who defeated Kim Clijsters in dominating fashion, 6-1, 6-1, in her bid to advance to the quarterfinals.

The full schedule and brackets can each be found at Wimbledon's official site.
