2012 London Olympics: USA Men's Basketball Leads France By 16 At Half

After a tough first quarter, the USA Men's Basketball team used a 30-15 second quarter run to gain some breathing room at halftime. Kevin Durant led the Americans with 15 points, and Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony both grabbed seven rebounds.

With three minutes gone in the third quarter, the Americans have pushed their lead to 22 points at 60-38, though Chandler just picked up his second foul.

Foul trouble will be a key issue in the second half for the USA. Anthony and Russell Westbrook both have three fouls, while Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Kevin Love all have two. Players are disqualified in FIBA play after five fouls.

The Timberwolves' Love put together a solid first half after Chandler and Anthony ran into foul trouble, with seven points and a steal.

The USA has done a good job on the offensive glass, and the French have yet to make a three-pointer. Tony Parker has six points for the French.

The game is being televised live on NBC Sports Network.
