Wimbledon 2012: Brian Baker's Magical Run Comes To End

On Tuesday, Brian Baker's magical run through the 2012 Wimbledon Tournament came to an end when he fell to Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6, 6-3.

In what was Baker's first Wimbledon appearance, the American had plenty of chances to turn the table on Kohlschreiber but failed to capitalize on his opportunities. Kohlschreiber converted on all three of his break points, while Baker was 0-5 on his. While Kohlschreiber's serve wasn't accurate on Tuesday, it was effective, as he tallied 23 aces in the match.

Kohlschreiber will move onto the Quarterfinal round and has the benefit of not having to face Rafael Nadal due to his early elimination from this year's tournament.

A bracket with schedule information can be found at Wimbledon's home page.
