Olympic Rowing 2012: St. Paul's Megan Kalmoe And U.S. Advance To Final In London

Megan Kalmoe of St. Paul is headed to the finals of the women's quadruple sculls competition in London, as she and the U.S. rowing team placed second of six teams in the repechage race on Monday.

The United States boat needed to finish in the top four to advance to the finals of the competition and it placed second with a time of 6:19.49. Australia finished first at 6:18.80. Great Britain was third at 6:21.65. China came fourth at 6:21.98.

Those four teams will compete against the Ukraine and Germany in the final on Wednesday. Those teams won the first two heat races on Saturday.

Kalmoe grew up in South St. Paul and attended St. Croix Falls High School in Wisconsin.
