Wimbledon 2012 Scores And Results: Serena Williams Claims Fifth Wimbledon Singles Title

Add one more to the pile for Serena Williams. She defeated Agnieszka Radwanska, 6-1, 5-7, 6-2, to capture the 2012 Wimbledon title, her first grand slam victory since 2010 and her 14th overall. At 30 years old, she is the oldest Wimbledon Women's champion since Martina Navratilova won at 33 in 1990.

It wasn't an easy victory for Williams, as Radwanska fought back from a 4-2 deficit in the second set. Instead of losing her composure, Williams responded in the third by striking four consecutive aces, adding to the women's record 102 she unleashed during the tournament. She previously set the record at 89 during her run to the 2010 title.

The win is Williams' fifth Wimbledon title, tying her with her sister Venus. The pair have won 10 of the past 13 Wimbledon singles titles, and have a chance to add to their trophy collection Saturday afternoon when they play for their fifth Wimbledon doubles title.
