London 2012: Preview, Medal Count For August 1

A host of events in the water will be getting gold medalists on August 1 as several swimming, diving and rowing competitions will be decided on Wednesday along with more Judo and Weightlifting events to continue the themes of the past several days. There are also plenty of other semifinal and group stage events to keep the day full.

The current medal count has the Americans at the top with 25, though China is nipping at their heels with 24. China also holds the most gold medals throughout the competition.

Here's a list of all the events that will find gold medalists on Wednesday:

  • Men's K-1 (kayak)
  • Women's individual time trial (cycling)
  • Men's individual time trial (cycling)
  • Men's synchronized 3-meter springboard (diving)
  • Men's individual epee (fencing)
  • Women's individual sabre (fencing)
  • Men's individual all-around (gymnastics)
  • Women's 70 kg (judo)
  • Men's 90 kg (judo)
  • Women's pair (rowing)
  • Women's quadruple sculls (rowing)
  • Men's eight (rowing)
  • Women's 25-meter pistol (shooting)
  • Men's 200-meter breaststroke (swimming)
  • Women's 200-meter butterfly (swimming)
  • Men's 100-meter freestyle (swimming)
  • Women's 4x200-meter freestyle relay (swimming)
  • Women's 69 kg/152 lbs (weightlifting)
  • Men's 77 kg/170 lbs (weightlifting)
  • As usual, streaming is available on NBC's website if you have the proper credentials and the games are being shown on tape delay as well across the NBC network of channels.
