London 2012 - Preview, Medal Count For August 10

If the United States have been waiting to get their revenge for 2004, Friday will be the day they've been waiting for. Team USA Basketball will face off against 2004 gold medalists Argentina in the same game that the Argentinians knocked them out of that year, the semifinals. After Russia and Spain duke it out for a spot in the basketball finals at noon, Team USA and Argentina will tip off at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Men's soccer will also come close to finishing with the bronze medal game between South Korea and Japan being another headliner on the day. Plenty of track and field, BMX and other semifinals and finals will fill out the day.

It's been a good last few days for the United States, who have pulled ahead convincingly in the medal count race to take a 90-80 lead over second place China. A full medal count can be found here, though as the number of available medals quickly starts to dwindle -- combined with many of them being in sports that China are unlikely to see any silverware in such as Boxing -- it will look more and more like a win for the Americans is inevitable.

As per usual, you can see most Olympic events live as they happen on NBColympics.com, provided you are allowed to view their streams considering their specific specifications. Many events will also be appearing, albeit on tape delay, on the NBC family of channels all day.
