Letroy Guion Injury: Vikings Starting NT Will Miss 1-2 Weeks

Letroy Guion, the starting nose tackle for the Minnesota Vikings, injured the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Friday's preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers, but coach Leslie Frazier offered some good news on Saturday. According to a report from 1500 ESPN, Frazier says Guion will likely return to the field well before the regular season starts.

"They told me he may miss a week or two," Frazier said. "It's a (PCL) injury. So, I'll learn more about it (in the next 24 hours). But initially, they've told me maybe a week or two."

Guion played in all 16 games for the Vikings last year, and notched three starts. The team gave the veteran a three-year, nine-million dollar extension earlier this year and placed him at the top of the depth chart. While Guion recovers from the injury, Fred Evans will likely play with the starters.
