2012 London Olympics: Sunday Daily Preview

The 2012 Summer Olympics wrap up Sunday, but not before the US Men's Basketball team tries to defend its 2008 gold in Beijing in a rematch against an always-tough Spain, with tipoff set for 10 am ET.

The USA's 'Redeem Team' took gold in 2008 with a 118-107 win over Spain, but the 2012 version of the US team is different, and perhaps better, than that team. It will be a tall order (sorry) to contend with Pau and Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka inside with only Tyson Chandler as the true center on the US roster.

Timberwolves forward has been a pleasant surprise for Coack K's squad, as he's averaged 12 points and 7 rebounds in just under 17 minutes per game. His efficiency and ability to stretch the floor makes Love especially valuable in the FIBA game.

Men's volleyball wraps up with Brazil, who beat the US, and Russia duking it out for gold, while men's water polo will feature Croatia and Italy in the gold medal game.

The USA wrapped up a win in the complete medal count over China with less than a full day of competition left. A complete medal count can be found here.

NBC will stream all of today's events live on NBCOlympics.com, as long as viewers have login information to their TV provider. Otherwise, NBC will broadcast various events thoughout the day on its family of networks.
