Minnesota Vikings coaches and fans have been waiting to see what rookie cornerback Josh Robinson can do in game situations. It looks like they'll get their chance Friday night when the Vikings host the Buffalo Bills in NFL preseason action.

Robinson injured his hamstring in his first full practice on July 27 and was held out of the Vikings' first preseason game last week as a precaution. He has returned to practice and figures to see action with the backup defensive units, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Robinson, 21, was a third-round draft pick out of Central Florida, where he was a three-year starter. The 5-foot-10, 199-pound cornerback is one to watch because of his speed.

Robinson is currently listed as third on the defensive depth chart at right corner behind veteran Chris Carr. The competition for roster spots and roles in the Minnesota secondary is one of the most contested in training camp.
