Russia's men's basketball team, featuring two Minnesota Timberwolves in Andrei Kirilenko and Alexey Shved, will go up against Brazil at 10:45 a.m. CT on Thursday in London.
Kirilenko and Shved have both been impressive in Olympic action thus far. Russia's first game was a 95-75 blowout victory over Great Britain in which Kirilenko scored 35 points on 14-for-17 shooting and Shved added 16 points and 13 assists.
Game No. 2 against China was another win and it was almost exactly as one-sided, 73-54. Kirilenko finished with 16 points and Shved had 14.
Brazil also has two victories under its belt, as they beat Australia 75-71 and Great Britain 67-62. Members of the Brazilian team in the NBA include the Wizards' Nene, the Pacers' Leandro Barbosa, Cleveland's Anderson Varejao and Tiago Splitter of San Antonio.
