Former Schools Investigating Mankato Football Coach Facing Child Pornography Charges

Previous employers are reviewing the conduct of Minnesota State-Mankato football coach Todd Hoffner following his recent arrest on felony charges of child pornography, as Richard Meryhew of the Star Tribune reports.

Hoffner was arrested in Eagle Lake, Minn., last week after allegations were first made.

According to Meryhew, officials at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and University of South Dakota have began to comb over the coach's old cell phone and computer records. Hoffner was the head coach at Eau-Claire from 1999 to 2005, and the offensive coordinator at South Dakota from 2005 to 2008.

Hoffner is on paid administrative leave while his legal situation is sorted out. He posted $40,000 bail last week after his court hearing, where it was explained that a university IT professional found videos of nude children dancing on the coach's school-issued phone.
