Wife Of Mankato Coach Facing Child Pornography Allegations Says Charges Are 'Ridiculous'

Minnesota State University in Mankato football coach Todd Hoffner was charged with possession of child pornography and using minors in a sexual performance last week, charges his wife called "ridiculous and baseless."

Hoffner was charged after information technology employees found sexually suggestive videos on his school-issued cell phone. Videos Hoffner's wife said were simply the family having fun.

"My family does what every family does - we take videos and pictures of our kids in all their craziness," Melodee Hoffner said Monday, according to the Star Tribune. "I assure you our children have not been exploited or abused - they are healthy physically, mentally and emotionally; and have normal relationships with friends, family and teachers."

Authorities are now conducting further investigations to determine the nature of the photos. Part of that investigation will be detectives attempting to determine if the videos were kept secret. Melodee Hoffner said investigators will find nothing illegal.

In the meantime, Todd Hoffner has been put on administrative leave while the legal situation is sorted out.
