Gophers At Rebels Score Update: Minnesota Ties UNLV At 10-10

The Minnesota Golden Gophers had an opportunity to take the lead in their contest against the UNLV Rebels, but again a self-inflicted wound forced them to settle for a tie.

After forcing UNLV to punt, Marqueis Gray found A.J. Barker for a big 40-yard gain to put the ball into UNLV territory at the 23. A couple of rushes got the Gophers to a 3rd-and-2 situation at the UNLV 15, but a false start on Josh Campion pushed Minnesota back to the 20. Gray scrambled on third down, but was unable to get the first down, and the Gophers had to settle for a 32-yard Jordan Wettstein field goal to tie the game at 10.

Barker's big catch put him over the century mark yardage-wise, as he now has 101 yards on three receptions. Gray is 14-of-25 on the evening for 212 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception. UNLV has gained just 47 yards of offense in the second half, much of it coming after the Troy Stoudermire muffed punt that the Rebels converted into a touchdown.

We have just under nine minutes remaining from Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the UNLV Rebels tied at 10.
