While the Gophers are riding high after a 2-0 start, some injuries are starting to take the wind out of the sails before this weekend's game against Western Michigan.
The Gophers didn't release an official injury report this week, but Kill said Wednesday that starting senior center Zach Mottla and backup cornerback Martez Shabazz were 'questionable' for the team's Saturday match-up against Western Michigan.
Freshman receiver Jamel Harbison will miss the season after undergoing surgery on a torn ACL on Thursday. The injury was suffered in the opening win against UNLV.
On the positive side of injuries, freshman receiver Andre McDonald is expected to be available Saturday. He missed last week's win against New Hampshire with an infection that was induced by turf-burn.
The Gophers will look to move to 3-0 at noon ET on Big Ten Network.
