Coach Facing Porn Charges At MSU-Mankato Wins Court Ruling

Facing two counts of child pornography, Minnesota State University Mankato head football coach Todd Hoffner won a ruling in court on Tuesday that will allow his attorney to review the prosecution's key piece of video evidence, according to Richard Meryhew of the Star Tribune.

The 46-year-old Hoffner was charged in August for possessing videos that allegedly feature children engaging in sexual acts on his school-appointed cellphone. Though a search of Hoffner's home, computer and car did not turn up any further evidence in the case, the prosecution looks to be in possession of some extremely damning video evidence for the fifth-year coach.

Hoffner is currently on paid leave while the school investigates the matter, while the team will continue to turn to assistant coach Aaron Keen on the field. Hoffner's next court appearance is set for Oct. 31.
