Randy Moss had a lot of great moments as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, but the wide receivers last go-around wasn't anything particularly impressive. In fact, for those that haven't blocked it out of their memories completely, one of the main storylines from that tenure featured Moss belittling a local restaurant.
The owner of Tinucci's Restaurant and Catering took some time to remember that incident this week, too, as Charley Walters caught up with him just a few days before Moss returns to the Metrodome with the San Francisco 49ers.
It was nearly two years ago that classless then-Vikings wideout Randy Moss disparaged mild-mannered Gus Tinucci, owner of Tinucci's Restaurant and Catering in Newport, by proclaiming in front of teammates that he wouldn't feed the buffet of beef, chicken and ribs that Tinucci had provided for the team's locker room lunch to his dog.
"We should have sent him an invite to come to dinner Saturday night," Tinucci said Thursday of Moss' return to Minnesota with the 49ers for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
I'm guessing that invitation probably would have went unanswered.
